Here is just a shot where I was able to fit Roger's CSX-VNT and my Daytona VNT into one shot. I had a bra on it that day because I was embarased from the little stone chips in the nose. Little did I know 3 days later I would do something that would make the stone chips seem very minor... |

These are all shots from the Urbana car show. This was an all makes car show. Had everything from your old 30's and 40's hot rods to a 98 Corvette. The class we had the Shelby Dodge's in was the "1991 to Current Stock" and "1970 to 1990 Stock". Joe's car which is a 91 was in the 91 to current class with a 90's Camaro with the whole speaker treatment, a 98 Vette....and I forget the rest. In the class I was in..1970 -1990 was mainly a bunch of corvettes and various other car's like a mint 76 or so Pontiac Can Am and a Run of the mill Cadilac....still don't know why it was there. You can see the Cadilac parked behind Rodgers in one of the top shots. Well, with 3 Shelby dodges we were able to walk away with 2 places. Rodger took 2nd in the "70-90 stock" class with his CSX-VNT. The Cadilac took 1st in that class. (Why?). And Joe took 3rd in the "91 to now stock" class. I of course took home a door prize....whoo hoo! I would have liked to place but I was clearly out matched against all those Vettes and that Cadilac....ha ha. And we all took home a sunburn. This was the 1st show I had the Daytona in. There were even a few people there that knew it was a VNT. I had alot of fun. We were trying to get the "longest distance travled" trophy.....but missed it by a little. We drove around 230 miles to get there...some one was up around 300 I think. Oh well, I'll just take the long way next time. |
